How verification works

MatchDC reviews the business identity of every company before it can take part in the marketplace. Everything else in a supplier profile comes from the supplier. This page explains which is which, so your team knows what to rely on and what to confirm.

Business identity review

Every company, buyer or supplier, registers with its legal name, registration number, and country of registration. A new company starts as pending.

The MatchDC team reviews those details and approves or rejects the company. A rejected company receives a note explaining why.

Until a company is approved, a supplier does not appear in the public supplier register, does not receive sourcing requests, and cannot buy a membership. A buyer can draft a sourcing request but cannot publish it.

After approval, the registration number and country are locked. Only the MatchDC team can correct them.

Company certifications

Suppliers can add company certifications with the standard, the issuing body, and the expiration date.

A certification is shown publicly only after the MatchDC team has checked it against the supporting document, and only while it is still valid. If a supplier edits a reviewed certification, it goes back to unreviewed.

Supplier-provided

Supplier profiles and catalog items

Suppliers describe their own capabilities, service countries, and project references. Catalog items, including equipment certification status such as UL, CE, or IEC, are stated by the supplier.

MatchDC does not independently confirm this information. Review it as part of your own supplier qualification.

Supplier-reported

Availability, lead times, and pricing

Availability, lead times, and pricing come from the supplier, both in the catalog and in responses to your sourcing request. They are not reserved capacity or a delivery commitment.

Confirm delivery commitments directly with the supplier before placing an order.

Buyer and supplier

Contact details

Buyers and suppliers stay anonymous to each other while responses are compared. Contact details are shared only after both the buyer and the supplier agree to the introduction.

Your team

What stays with your team

A business identity review is not a technical approval. Project-specific supplier qualification, technical approval, and contracting stay with your team.

Membership

Membership and verification

Membership is available only to approved suppliers, and it does not replace the identity review.

Membership decides which features a supplier can use: Listed suppliers appear in the public supplier register, and Gold suppliers also receive matched sourcing requests.
